NEC Golf Show (2008 review)
The NEC Golf Show 2008 was held at Birmingham's National Exhibition Centre from 21-23 November.

Ladies English Open (2008 review)
The 2008 Ladies English Open was played from 4-6 July 2008 over the magnificent Oxfordshire Golf Club.
And it was an English victory as Rebecca Hudson captured her second title in the space of three weeks with a final round 64. She captured the title by one stroke from overnight leader Melissa Reid on a wet and windy day in Thame, Oxfordshire.
Speaking fresh from the course, an emotional Hudson told GOLFLINKS; "Back to back wins, I can't believe it. To win in your home country is just fantastic. It's just wonderful. To have two English players at the top is something special as well."

London Golf Show (2008 review)
The London Golf Show, which launched in 2005, has set the standard for golf shows and remains the UK's only consumer golf show. It is also the largest show of its kind in Europe.
The 2008 event was held over the weekend 25-27 April at the ExCeL Centre in London's Docklands, and once again drew thousands of golf fans eager to get their hands on the latest clubs, try out the indoor driving range or attempt to hit the signature show feature - the infamous floating green.
The 2008 show was opened by European star Lee Westwood (pictured in a light hearted moment during one his many media interviews!). Westwood said he was impressed with a "terrific" show.

Greatest golf competition winner announced - GOLFLINKS gave away hundreds of tickets to this year's show and closed the show on the Sunday by drawing the winner of its 'Greatest golf competition ever'. One lucky golf fan - Dave Messenger from Buckinghamshire - walked away with more than £12,500 worth of golf prizes.
2008/09 Matchplay Championship
Since its inception in 2003, the Matchplay Championship has grown to become one of Europe's biggest amateur pairs competitions where thousands of golfers from the UK & Ireland compete to win a place at a luxury grand final in Egypt.
For an entry fee of just £20 per golfer, the pairs enjoy a number of knockout matchplay rounds (if they win!) against other golfing pairs in their local area, giving them the chance to meet new golfing friends and play different courses around the world.
During the 2007/08 championship, more than 1600 golfers went head-to-head in the tournament with 32 of them winning a seat on the plane to Egypt for the grand final. See GOLFLINKS story here.
Registration for the 08/09 event closed on 30th June 2008 but you can stay up-to-date on this year's event and maybe follow your mates with continued GOLFLINKS coverage.
