Matlock Golf Club

Hard going

I played in the seniors open 4/6/08 and must say that this is by far the most physically demanding course I have ever played, there are some very long par 4s over many ravines, and when you weren't hitting over ravines you seemed to always be walking up hill, playing here made walking up Snowdon easy, that said the fairways (when you found them) and the greens were in very order. Yes I am glad I played there, and no I won't be going back. It also should be said that the members made you very welcome and the food was excellent.
