Sandfield Golf Range and Course

Short course but so good.....

Someone told me this course was a cracker so I booked. When I got there I looked at the card and noticed of the 9 holes 5 of them were par 3`s, was this a fancy chip and putt course? I couldn`t have been more wrong this parkland, tree lined course is absolute quality and a joy to play. As soon as I arrived I noticed the pratice putting green and thought how good it looked, reminded me of Royal Liverpool greens. This course seems to attract respectful golfers who do replace divots and repair pitch marks on the greens as the condition of the course is second to none, you don`t get thet municipal feel about the place with shirtless tattood morons effin and jeffin. There are rakes at every bunker and excellent tee positions the only thing missing is a shed halfway round selling pop and crisps. As I mentioned the greens are superb and the mix of holes albeit short ones are excellent, my 8 year old loves the course. Stroll along listening to the birds watching the rabbits and squirrels play and you can be sure that if your ball is on the fairway you have a nice lie. The rough is not too long and the tee booking systems makes sure there are not too many players on the course at one time.
